November 2000 – Star Oil & Gas acquired a majority of the stock of Place Resources Corporation located in Calgary, Canada.

June 2001 – Sold The Roof Center, Inc. and West End Lumber, Inc.

April 2003 – Sold Star Oil & Gas, Ltd., the Canadian holdings in oil and gas properties.

December 2003 – Sold United Oil & Minerals, Inc., the U.S. holdings in oil and gas properties.

March 2004 – United began a new company, United Resources LP, an exploration and production company focusing on the Gulf Coast.

April 2004 – United purchased Sapphire Coal Company.

October 2004 – United purchased Carter Roag Coal Company.

November 2005 – United Coal bought remaining interest in North Star Mining.

November 2005 – United Coal purchased Rapoca Energy Company. Closed transaction in January 2006.

December 2005 – United Coal purchased White Mountain Mining; name was changed to Pocahontas Coal Company.
